According to various reports the colour purple is bang on trend this year and fashionistas everywhere will be purpling themselves up!  So, what does this mean for gardens and garden designs then?  Basically incorporating the colour purple into your plant schemes will bring your gardens right up to date.

Additionally there are lots of reports these days stating how purple foods have so many qualities that make them the 'healthy choice'.  Allotmenteers and avid veg growers have been growing purple varieties for years....apparently it's the first time us veg growers have been ahead of the fashionistas!!  So if you've never tried growing purple varieties give it a go and get your veg patch to be be bang on trend; try Carrot 'Purple Haze' F1 Hybrid or a Dwarf Bean 'Purple Teepee'.
